SPOTLIGHT: ‘Ink Drinkers’ by B.A. France

cocktail hour
the sting of lime juice
on a split knuckle

pink hibiscus
demanding afternoon
rum drinks

stacked notebooks
compulsively purchased
awaiting
ideas

calling mom
on new years …
pouring another

rereading montaigne
… quiet joy in a mind
at play

wine glasses
scrubbed clean
my mind drips dry

cooling tea
and dog eared pages
– nightly rhythm
